Where does Oups travel on the weekend?
Children love to take their mascot home with them.
This has become a very common ritual. At the end of the week, Oups hops into his travel bag/suitcase and goes home with the children. The travel diary records everything Oups has experienced. This helps children reflect on their experiences and write about them in simple sentences.

The stories become even more vivid when written from Oups' perspective. This is a great way to promote writing skills and have fun together. The children are always eager to hear about what their little friend has experienced... Depending on the children's abilities, initial entries may include small drawings with accompanying text from parents or older siblings. Over the course of a school year, browsing through the booklet reveals what has been learned, and month by month, the texts become longer and longer.
